2 Part Question:
1. What are your thoughts about the use of personality assessments or behavioral interviewing for screening and selection purposes; the good...the bad and the ugly...?
2. As a recruiting professional how much or little information are you interested in knowing about your clients' hiring &decision making process as it related to the weight they put on selection tools?
Hi Margaret -
I'd love to introduce you to Role-Based Assessment, the disruptive technology for screening & selection, plus coaching & development, succession planning, teambuilding, etc. It's all about fit with the team and the organization and predicting behavior.
See you in Chicago!
Best,
DrJ
What tool are you using? did you develop it or do you purchase it from someone else? Are you familiar with any targeted selection / behavioral interviewing on line tools?
Hi Margo -
Sorry I didn't see this till today. Role-Based Assessment(tm) is a suite of assessment tools delivered via www.RightFitToolkit.com. It was developed by a team that I was blessed with (sorry, there is no other explanation for my getting these amazing people together!), is based on 35 years of research prior to the 7 years it's been in existence. It's been called the disruptive innovation in talent management and was cited in a University of Pennsylvania Journal of Labor & Employment Law article as the only legally defensible assessment for hiring. You can get an invitation to a mini-webinar on it at which you'll also learn about getting certified (for a limited time, this is free to HR & recruiting people I meet via social networking!) by dropping a line to me - jpresser (at) thegabrielinstitute (dot) com.
